The Oceana Apartments in Huntington Beach commissioned Metal Sculptor Larry Gill and Glass Artist Gavin Heath to create illuminated Biome Sculptures out of steel and glass.
Leading to the second level, visitors and residents will enjoy the public art installation by famed artists Metal Sculptor Larry Gill and Glass Artist Gavin Heath, which will enhance the staircase wall then lead residents to the public courtyard where they will be greeted by illuminated Biome Sculptures. 18151 Beach Blvd.
“My work stems from traditional glass techniques in the height of car culture. Living in the Americas and born and raised in South Africa, I see “progression” and “primitive” in one life. This in turn makes me search for simplicity an the spirit of humanity, which is complicated in this reality.
